Day 16-1, in Ho Chi Minh City,
Vietnam Cashew Association (Vinacas) held a
conference to review the operation in 2016, expects to collect about 3 billion
dollars from the export of cashew in 2017. Vinacas
aims to export 360,000 tonnes of cashew, earning about
US $ 3 billion in 2017. The amount of crude imports of 1.1 million tonnes is expected. Source of crude
imports from Cambodia, Indonesia and African countries, including Cote d'Ivoire
largely.
Vinacas
cited reports of dried nuts Council International (INC), said demand for cashew
nuts in general and in particular on the global scale continues to increase.
The average yield increase of 10% / year due to the growing number of
scientific reports prove the health benefits of cashews humans and other nuts.
According to statistics of the
Ministry of Industry and Trade, in 2016, Vietnam has exported 348,000 tons of
people with various kinds of export turnover of US $ 2.84 billion, up 5.6% in
volume and 18.4 % in value over the same period in 2015.
2016, Vietnam cashew nuts were
exported to 90 markets, of which the US accounts for the highest market share
of about 35%, European countries and the United Kingdom is 25% and China 18%. The number of firms which currently exports about 400 enterprises,
but over 50% market share of exports concentrated in approximately 30
companies.
